Flathill loop: Power Cell farming and fast exit logic

Flathill is safer when you plan it as a repeatable Power Cell loop with a landmark, objective, and exit rule. The goal is clean extraction, not full town completion.

The Problem

“Flathill feels like a maze, the doctor keeps appearing, and I cannot find the exit after grabbing supplies.”

⚡ Before You Start

Unlock the Flathill portal route and understand the return timing.
Pick one objective before entering, usually Power Cell progress or safe resource recovery.
Know an early retreat trigger before the route becomes unreadable.

🎒 What to Bring

■Sneakers or stamina-supporting gear
■Bandages or quick healing
■Noise decoy or distraction option

Prerequisites

  • Unlock the Flathill portal route and understand the return timing.
  • Pick one objective before entering, usually Power Cell progress or safe resource recovery.
  • Know an early retreat trigger before the route becomes unreadable.

Recommended Loadout

  • Sneakers or stamina-supporting gear
  • Bandages or quick healing
  • Noise decoy or distraction option

Common Mistakes

  • 1.Staying after the objective is complete because nearby buildings look tempting.
  • 2.Losing the exit route by rotating through town without landmark checks.

The Problem

Flathill feels like a maze, the doctor keeps appearing, and I cannot find the exit after grabbing supplies.

The Solution

Orient by the tallest landmark and route toward the Silo 3 objective for Power Cell progress. Access Flathill from Reception in Office Sector Level 2 — kill the Pest to your left, walk forward to the third keypad, and go through the portal. You arrive in a treehouse; climb down the ladder. The glowing purple portal to your left is the exit portal — remember this location. The first three Power Cells needed for story progression are in Flathill, and they respawn during portal reset (see Portal Worlds overview)s so you can farm them indefinitely. Giants cannot see you with their head — only their torso matters. If their torso is obscured, you are safe to crouch past, but Giants CAN crouch to get through doors. After looting, exit through the east-side alley path back toward the starting portal instead of wandering through town.

Step-by-Step

  1. Enter Flathill and immediately identify the strongest landmark instead of roaming randomly.
  2. Route toward the Silo 3 objective when Power Cell progress is the priority.
  3. Limit side looting until the exit route is familiar.
  4. Use the east-side alley or known return path once the objective is complete.
  5. Extract and repeat the loop rather than gambling on one more building.

Common Mistakes

  • Staying after the objective is complete because nearby buildings look tempting.
  • Losing the exit route by rotating through town without landmark checks.
