Security Level 1 Keycard: Office Sector reception route

I found the first keycard, but the elevator still acts like I am not authorized. Am I missing a second objective?

The Level 1 keycard sits on the security desk in the Office Sector reception after the first vent escape. For the elevator scan, hold the interact button instead of tapping it — the authorization check has a short channel time and a tap releases too early. Once the scan completes, the card opens early Office doors. Grab flashlight and armor supplies from security rooms, then route toward Manufacturing access. Talk to Alice Mayfield on Office Sector Level 3 to unlock the Keypad Hacker (Tier 1) idea, which lets you craft a hacker from 1x Controller, 1x LCD Screen, and 1x Infrared Emitter. This hacker handles all Clearance Level 1 keypads going forward, so you never need to hunt for physical cards again.

Security Level 2 Keycard: Manufacturing West vent bypass

The Manufacturing security room is locked from the outside, and I burned every tool trying to pry it open.

Do not waste durability at the front door — that approach is a trap. Bring an Improvised Rope, reach the second-floor infirmary area, and use the rear vent path to enter the security room from behind. After taking the Level 2 card from the computer desk, press the red button inside the room to release the physical latch before leaving. For the Keypad Hacker (Tier 2), talk to The Blacksmith in Manufacturing West — he is near the tram station on the right side, next to construction machinery in the labeled building. He also gives you the Tram Station Key blueprint, which makes future Manufacturing travel much easier since you can skip sneaking past soldiers once the tram is operational.

Security Level 3 Keycard: Blacksmith exchange and laser check

The Blacksmith will not give me access, and the lab door laser looks aligned but still refuses to open.

Find Blacksmith's Garage deep in Manufacturing West, clear the turret pressure near the entrance, and bring 2 Reinforced Hoses for the exchange. Expect an Order defense event after the handoff — have healing and armor ready. For the Keypad Hacker (Tier 3), head to Level 3 in the main hall of Labs, go through the yellow room, then head down to the door overlook and open DIRAK. For lab laser doors, the critical detail is beam color, not just angle. The solved beam must be blue. Many players align the angle perfectly but miss that the wrong color beam will not trigger the door even when pointed at the receiver. Adjust both angle and color before assuming the puzzle is bugged.

Security Level 4 Keycard: Containment grab-and-leave plan

My Hazmat Suit melts almost instantly in Containment, then robots camp the body before I can recover anything.

Treat the Level 4 card as an extraction job, not a loot sweep. Enter Containment with a full Hazmat Suit, Bio-Acoustic Key access, decoys or smoke for the heavy robots, and an X-Ray Lamp ready for Leyak pressure. Take the yellow-safe keycard, then leave immediately before searching side cabinets. For the Keypad Hacker (Tier 4), read the email titled 'Clean it up!' and view the attachment, or talk to Celine Ahmed. The Tier 4 hacker is essential for deeper Containment routes and Accelerator access. If you die in Containment, robots will camp your body — reset the threat path by retreating to a safe zone and re-entering rather than attempting a corpse recovery under fire.

Office Sector route: reception, security room, infirmary, atrium

The tutorial throws me into vents and hallways, then I lose the main route before I have a stable base.

Use the yellow floor lines as your spine route. Spawn in the Cafeteria, talk to Dr. Thule on the bench — he tells you Dr. Jager is locked out. Loot everything: scraps, materials, office supplies. Find the Storage room and dismantle the second vent to open a gate. Build a Crafting Bench near a power plug and craft an Energy Brick (1x Power Supply Unit, 1x Circuit Board, 1x Tech Scrap, 1x Case Fan). Place the Energy Brick in the slot next to the locked cafeteria door. Move from the starting vent into Reception, secure the security room for the Level 1 keycard, then climb toward the second-floor infirmary and third-floor atrium when you have rope access. The swimming pool area is an excellent first base location — infinite water from the Water Cooler and good space for bed, crafting bench, and storage crates. Follow Lift Access signs toward Silo 3 for Flathill portal access.

Manufacturing West route: tunnels, garage, and Blacksmith access

Every door in Manufacturing West feels like it opens into poison, bullets, or a dead end.

From the Office elevator, push through Maintenance Tunnels quickly — do not loot every hazardous corner. Follow the main road into the vehicle storage lanes, then turn toward Blacksmith's Garage. Bring a Stun Baton for soldiers, a wooden shield for ranged pressure, a gas mask if you linger in tunnels, and a crowbar for shortcut vents. The forklift door entrance requires a Power Cell from Flathill — insert it and the door slowly rises. Grab the two Construction Lights on the opposite side; they are the best spotlights in the game. Open the Security Door shortcut (right from elevator, down the hall) to create a fast path back to Cafeteria. Talk to The Blacksmith for the Keypad Hacker Tier 2 and Tram Station Key blueprint. Once the tram is operational, you can travel without sneaking past enemies. To reach Cascade Laboratories, navigate through corridors and truck intersections, then cause an internal implosion in the tunnel to create a hole forward.
