The Solution
The Chemistry Bench is Abiotic Factor's advanced crafting station. Unlike the standard Crafting Bench, chemistry recipes require specific precursor materials and produce intermediates that feed into higher-value outputs. Here is every verified chemistry recipe with what it makes and what it is used for.
Core Chemistry Outputs
Enethiol
- Inputs: Sulfur + Ethanol
- Used for: Pentetic Acid Syringe (removes radiation), Nyxshade Seed crafting
- Priority: High. Never spend Enethiol on convenience crafts. Stockpile for Pentetic Acid Syringe production â each syringe removes -10 radiation and grants 50% resistance for 15 minutes.
- Farming route: Sulfur from Manufacturing mineral deposits. Ethanol from chemistry precursors.
Refined Solvent
- Inputs: Bleach + Clean Water
- Used for: Various advanced recipes
- Priority: Medium. Use the Water Filter Barrel (1:1 ratio) for clean water, not boiled water (4:1 loss). Plan bleach farming in Manufacturing industrial areas before production.
Bio-Gel
- Inputs: Organic materials + Acid catalyst
- Used for: Medical and biological recipes
- Priority: Medium. Acid risk â wear protection and craft near your Healing Briefcase. Do not attempt at low health.

Power Stability for Chemistry
Chemistry Bench operations fail if the power branch fluctuates. Before starting any chemistry recipe:
- Verify the bench is on a dedicated battery branch (Industrial, 100 charge minimum)
- Turn off nonessential loads on the same circuit (fridges, chargers, Tesla Coils)
- A voltage dip during synthesis wastes all input materials and you start over
Catalyst Conservation
Catalysts â Enethiol, Refined Solvent, Bio-Gel â are not consumables. They are strategic reserves:
